Vista and Canon ZR600 Compatibility?

Does anyone know if the Canon ZR600 is compatible with Windows Vista?

The Canon ZR600 is a miniDV tape based camcorder. Video transfer from the DV port of the camcorder to the firewire port of the computer happens with a firewire cable. If the firewire port is working, camera-specific drivers are not needed.

There is no USB support for miniDV tape video transfer from the camcorder to the computer. Get the firewire port working and the video will transfer. USB will not work.

So... yes, the ZR500 will work with Windows Vista, but not because there are camera-specific drivers...
