how do i set up explorer so that when i click on a hyperlink the new window opens full size. mine opens into this little window and i'm tired of having to click the maximize button.

  1. well when the window comes up, stretch it out to it's maximum size and that should help. (not just clicking the button...but stretching it at the bottom). I do hope it works =)


  2. Normally, explorer will open to a new window with the size of the current opened window. It will open a smaller window unless the link you clicked is a javascript link that instruct to open a new window with a specified size.

  3. Try closing all windows first... then click the hyperlink. When the window opens, maximize it. After you maximize it, close it.

    Then try the hyperlink again

  4. Open IE and just have one IE window open. If it is maximized, restore the window. Resize the window manually to be full screen, then close it.

    IE opens windows in a restored state based on the main window's restored size. New windows that open up sized differently won't mess this up as long as the last window closed has the "maximized" normal state.
