Vista partition dilema? read all details!!!! my math is included?

ok i have a 160GB hard drive on my pc it has 3 partitions

C:\ windows xp (19GB free)

D:\ games (62GB free)

E:\ Linux backup (5GB free)

question 1 if i install vista on the D:\ will it overwrite all my games if yes here is my resize plan tell me what i should do

F:\ =free space

C:\ -10GB=9GB F:\ = 10GB

uninstall linux of E:\

E:\ +5GB=20GB F:\ =10GB

E:\ +10GB=30GB F:\ =0GB

D:\ -20GB=42GB F:\ =20GB

E:\ +20GB=50GB F:\ =0GB

then install vista on to E:\

any other suggestions?

what program should i use to edit my partitions without damage to files?

  1. Why mess up with partitions?although partition manager do a great job, you can simple install VISTA on D:\, AS YOU HAVE 62 GB FREE.

    VISTA INSTALLATION, will leave other programs intact.

    Just install VISTA from within windows XP so you can have a dual boot system.
