  1. Heck no! Are you serious? There is no way your machine begins to meet the minimum specs for Vista - neither would there be any driver support.

  2. Vista needs more than 1GB just to run. Sorry but your not.

  3. One word: NO

You need a new computer my friend.  Even if you don't want to buy one, you NEED a new computer.  :D  Vista simply will not run on that machine at all, no matter how much you upgrade the ram... and even if it did, you'd grow old waiting for it to respond.

  4. the best way to find out is to download this  - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows...

But I would suggest you would be wasting your time, Vista is very hardware specific, you want 1gb RAM and 128Mb Graphics as an absolute minimum, if your machine came with 2000 or ME (they are a different Operating System) then then answer is most probably no.

  5. Unfortunately even with 1gb of RAM a processor will run slowly and even crash with Vista. I would STRONGLY recommend that you get at least 2gb of RAM before considering installing Vista. However on older machines Vista will still run slowly, so if I were you I would stick to Windows 2000 ME on your machine unless you want to consider getting a new machine. Even then be wary of the amount of RAM; some companies sell laptops that have only 1gb with Vista installed and after attempting to run it even once you will want to pull all your hair out! Be sure you get at least 2gb of RAM to run Vista.

  6. You can get drivers, however Vista uses 1 gb of ram just to run
