Vista recovery/hard drive

Question

Had vista someone tryed to load XP It wiped all files Vista crashed. Tryed to recover from recovery manager tryed two or three times got error messages had to order recovery disks Received them followed the instuctions for recovery Vista came up BUT now have a 250GB hard drive that has four partions showing very little space left on each section.. Doesn't even add up to 150 gb? How can I get rid of all partitions or can I then reload the vista from recovery disk?
