Vista sp1 or xp sp3?

Question

i have a laptop with 2 gb ddr intel celeron 1.73 ghz. i use the laptop for office application and for movies not for games which is better for me?

I don't think there is enough difference to matter for playing movies or office applications, I just don't like the incessant pop ups in Vista, asking if "this is ok? or that is ok?".

Are you talking about getting a Vista or XP computer for the home? If so it will be very hard to get one with XP because i believe Microsoft stopped making licenses for XP. Otherwise you can not install a XP service pack on a Vista computer or a Vista service pack on a XP computer.

if u have vista home premium edition, the sp1 is waaay better than xp professional/home sp3.

Movies work better with Vista Home Premium. You cannot get a new computer with Windows XP pre-installed, but if you could, it would be faster for general office work.
