Is there a Florence Pass? Is it worth getting one of those?

Also I ve seen on the internet that if I wanna visit the Outlet, I'll ve to pay and join a tour, I just wonder is there any alternative, where u don't have to pay just to go to the outlet?

  1. There's no need to get a pass as Florence is easy to see on your own, being very compact. You should visit Siena which is very easily reached by coach. There are regular ones leaving from near the railway station, and you can buy the ticket from the ticket office across from the station or even on the coach itself. You might even like to stay overnight and take in the views leisurely. You are in for a treat. Tuscany is lovely.

  2. You can take a train, then a taxi to the outlets.  Do a google search and there are instructions on getting there from the sites.  Don't pay for the tour.

Have your hotel make reservations for the Uffizi and to see The David - otherwise you'll spend hours in line.  Do not buy a ticket for the jump on/off bus - it's impossible to find a stop again if you get off.  I did the first time I visited Florence 3 years ago and I'm still angry about the 20 euros I spent

Definitely wait for a nice day and wander around the Boboli Gardens, bring food for a picnic and enjoy.  Piazza Michaelangelo is free - after the 400 steps up there and well worth it for the views.  Also, I would recommend Santa Croce (inside) over the Duomo.

There's an American and his wife who sing at night near P. Republica - on the way towards the Uffizi - they're quite good.  Throw him some coins but watch out for Giggolo's as they also troll this area.

Sienna is a great day trip, Assisi should be an overnighter otherwise you're committing to @5hrs roundtrip by train.  Skip Pisa, there is nothing there but a tower that doesn't stand up straight.

  3. Zanahory is right. I would also say that Assisi and Pisa are within a coach ride and worth visiting.

    Buses in Italy are chip.
