  1. I live in Kensington which is in central south west London giving me very little chances to escape from tourists. A place I love and is quiet is Primrose Hill on the north side of Regent's Park, in Camden. Here there is a fab view of stuff in London, you can see the city with the gherkin and st paul's also Canary Wharf in the distance and then The BT Tower and London Eye! Sooo many famous people go there walking their dogs or just going on a stroll, I saw ex-CBBC and ex-CITV presenters Angelica & Mark? on the top of the hill cuddling and in a gosip magazine I saw an article about Lilly Allen walking her dog there For Me though it is on the other side of town which isn't so good so If I want to walk somewhere I normally go to Holland Park. Hyde Park is also near but not the best of parks I would say. For Holland Park simply get the tube to Holland Park on the Central Line or you can walk a little bit further from High Street Kensington Station which is on the Circle and District Line.

Then For Primrose Hill you can choose again from two which are Swiss Cottage (Jubilee Line) or Chalk Farm on the Northern Line

If I'm in the centre of town I prefer to go along the back streets to my destination instead of dodging the sea of people, such as on Oxford Street, instead I go through the squares of Mayfair on the south side which is very peaceful indeed.

Not many place that are so quiet in London that are well known, if you just walk around the back streets you'll find something that will interest you.

    Hope This Helps

  2. Most of the places I visit and categorize as a "must see" are tourist attractions, but not that crowded, esp. if you go in the winter time.  Westminster Abbey (not so crowded), Madame Tussaud's (really crowded), The London Dungeons (not so crowded), and Tower Hill (slightly crowded) are all amazing and historical places to visit!  The best time to go is in December because I always go in December and it is not busy there at all.
