Question:

Visual Arts and Writing Camps?

I'm applying to a few different camps for this summer. The SCAD Summer Seminars in Savannah, for workshops in mixed media and jewelry making or digital photography. Converse College Young Writers Camp, Sewanee Young Writers Conference, and the Atlantic Center for the Arts Teen Creative Writing Residency.

Has anyone been to any of these camps? And would you recommend it? What was it like? Any tips or advice? Thanks.

  1. I'd suggest checking out Westminster College's Writing Your World summer camp. It's a week long, residential camp and some of the scheduled workshops include poetry, creative writing,  a tour of the newspaper and meeting with reporters, nature hikes and free writing, author's tea, and other activities. Plus, if you're a junior or senior, you can earn two college credits.
