Visual basic programing HELP! i need help with Stage 1 Information Technology...PLEASE READ!!!

i had this (what i thought) awesome idea for my Stage 1 IT visual basic program that i need to create. I was thinking that i could do the sort of thing on the NikeID website, how you can change the colours and accesories on your shoes...the only problem that i have is that i dont know how i would go about changing the colours on the parts and the accesories...would i need to do drop down choosers? but then when i click the colour how do i make it change the image colour to that colour?? (if this all makes sence) PLEASE HELP!!!! best answer and many points up for grabs here =]

What version of VB???

Use hotspots to display color/colour picker.

Use different images for each part and accessory.

Test for a color/colour from the Color Dialog, if a match then show a new image.

Make your own color/colour picker.
