Visual effects of marijuana?

Question

When my friend smoked marijuana she said she looked in the mirror and looked really ugly. Her description was: very pale with unflattering features. Later on when she looked in the mirror again she said she couldn’t believe how attractive she was and that neither of her appearances were how she normally sees herself.

Can anyone explain this?

When you are high, colors are brighter, scenes more depth, patterns are more evident. Figure - ground relations both more distinct and more easily reversible. Your vision becomes a bit blurry and the eye lids become heavy. The eyes also may feel irritated.

what the other girl said is true, people have different reactions , it really depends on what you smoke and how much..hopefully someone didnt mix something else with the weed that gave her a weird trip

but all different kinds of reactions people can have ..one of my friends thought nobody could her her one time so she was screaming frantically and another time she just fell asleep in the middle of a conversation

really its nothing to worry about it was just one of the many reactions you can have to it

Nobody who answered has ever even smoked it. It doesnt affect your vision at all in any way. Acid, Shrooms, hallucinogen's affect your vision and enhance colors etc. Marijuana is a stimulant. It doesnt do anything to your vision, just makes you feel kind of warm inside, affects your reaction time, alters your personality, and enhances audio, touch, and taste. Just about the only thing it doesnt affect is your vision. Your friend is showing off and trying to get attention. It's not crack. Either that or it just changed her personality to where she is looking at herself in a different light. Thats possible. It affects the brain that way. If Im high, Im more attracted to people. Not because it is affecting my vision and they look different because of a vision problem, but because my brain is just noticing the good parts about them I might not notice. I still see the same thing, but my brain is telling me I like that same thing alot more.

I dont care what any propagandist link says. Ive smoked it in Florida, California, Amsterdam, and Thailand. Ive had just about every kind out there in small and large amounts. None of it affects your vision unless its laced, and theres not many drugs out there that people lace with marijuana that affect our vision either. Thats why that ant-drug commercial shows guys in a car pulling out of a drive through on it and they hit a little girl on her bike. They blame it on reaction time. If it affected your vision, Im sure they would have used that as a reason for them hitting the girl because that would scare people away from using it even more, but they couldnt say that on a nationally seen commercial because it would be a blatent lie.
