Vitali Klitschko believes Dereck Chisora needs more punishment in the ring – Boxing news
WBC Heavyweight champion, Vitali Klitschko believes Chisora was not punished enough.
Vitali is now seeking a rematch with Dereck Chisora to avenge his and his brother’s humiliation that came at the hands of Chisora. Vitali wants to grant Chisora a rematch to knock him out brutally.
After their ring brawl on Saturday night, both fighters, Chisora and Vitali, have shown signs of aggression. While Chisora went onto to beat David Haye publicly and threat him to death, Vitali kept his calm knowing that he won.
However, after seeing Chisora spitting in his brother’s face, Vitali is in rage too. Now, Vitali Klitschko wants to have a rematch with Dereck Chisora to give him some real punishment. Before and after the brawl Dereck Chisora not only humiliated Vitali
and his older brother Wladimir but also went onto humiliate David Haye. In regards to this, Vitali Klitschko wants to punish Chisora for his misbehaviour in the ring.
Vitali said, “But my ego, something deep inside, tells me quite clearly that I still need to give this man real punishment. I want to knock him out in the ring. This account is still open.”
On the other hand, Bernd Boente, Vitali’s manager, has rejected plans of setting up a rematch with Chisora.
On Chisora’s behaviour, Vitali remarked, “I saw everything from the podium. I thought I was in the wrong film. You can't behave like this, neither in a sporting way nor as a person. It was below the bottom drawer.”
Vitali further said that before their bout, he thought Chisora’s behaviour was just a show to excite audience but after seeing his post-bout behaviour he was shocked. He added that he thinks Chisora is a maniac who goes on fighting with people and threatens
to kill them which is unethical. Lastly, he said that everything he had to do with Chisora seems like a nightmare to him.
By now, no official news of their rematch has been received. Chisora is currently busy apologising and clearing his stance for whatever happened over the weekend, whereas Vitali is considering his options for a rematch with Chisora.
