Question:

Vitamin C and stool color?

I've been taking about 5 grams of ascorbic acid for about 2 weeks. I've noticed in the last week that my stool has changed in color from medium brown to a light yellow-brown color. I feel awesome and more .... I don't know ... "there". Anyways, has anyone who's taken ascorbic acid in mega doses experienced such changes in their stools?

  1. Yeah, I like Vitamin C. Her music is pretty cool.

  2. i have been taking about 4 grams a day for a few years and i did notice a change. vitamin C is an acid, so it reacts with the stomach contents and makes the stools a slightly lighter color. theres nothing wrong, as this will happen to anyone who takes 4 or more grams a day.
