Vitamins for rat??? ?

Question

I want to get vitamins or supplements for my rats that will help keep them healthy and all that stuff. Like the stuff you put in their water or food. I have looked at Petsmart and Petco but I am worried their products are gonna be a rip off and a waste of my money. But if you have tried one of their products i would appreciate it if you gave me a review on it. Does anyone know of where i can get the vitamins or supplements besides Petsmart or Petco??

I'm not sure outside of the retail stores. I'm sure you could find some professional websites.

Although I think the best way to keep happy, healthy rats is through their diet. There are numerous online recipes for rat food that will meet their nutritional needs, and also a variety of fruits and veggies and treats is important!

Personally, I believe ALL of those vitamin supplements are a waste of money. If you're feeding your rat a quality lab block and a varied diet of fruits and vegetables, they won't need vitamins. Also, most vitamins break down when exposed to light, air, and water, so it really won't do much good.
