Vitantonio Liuzzi confident he will drive for Hispania Racing team in 2012 – Formula 1 news
Hispania Racing Team driver Vitantonio Liuzzi has said that he is confident he will drive for his current team in the 2012 Formula 1 season.
Liuzzi added that he has full support of his team bosses in the ongoing season and that he believes they will give him a chance of racing with them in the next year.
The Spanish team driver discussed with the media that he is sure HRT will make a positive step forward towards their bright future in the sport in the next season.
Liuzzi stated, “I have to say that even though there was a chance of owners, the Carabante family did a great job to get this team to where it is now. But even the new owners... they seem to be really motivated and focused on making the team go forward.”
The HRT driver told the media that the team’s technical director Geoff Willis is working on their 2012 F1 car. He added that they can take a positive start in the next season with a better package.
Apart from that, the Italian admitted that he is enjoying his races a lot in the 2011 Formula 1 season. In addition, he mentioned that at the moment his main focus is to learn all the different aspects of the sport and getting maximum experience with HRT.
He went on to say that the Hispania team is a best platform for him at the moment and he can make his encouraging future by staying with them.
He added, “There are a lot of really well known drivers and also for this special event there will be drivers coming from the States and from Europe. It's a different challenge in the middle of the overseas races. We are free and I like to keep myself busy
as much as I can in racing because this is what I love to do.”
The 30-year-old driver showed his good performance in the ongoing season for the first time in the Canadian Grand Prix, where he finished his race at the 13th place for the team. Since that, he is still not able to close his gap from the strong
teams in the season.
Let’s see whether HRT confirms him for the 2012 F1 season or not.
