The Arnhem outfit’s newly acquired Japanese striker has expressed optimism that his time at GelreDome Stadion will be the stepping stone for a move to La Liga.
Vitesse Arnhem striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mike-Havenaar-c25700, has expressed his desire to pursue his career in La Liga in the seasons to come. The Japanese ace believes that his time at GelreDome Stadion will certainly lead to an offer from a Spanish top tier outfit in the future.
The Japanese International started his professional career in January 2006 at Yokohama F Marinos. However, the striker failed to make an impact and only managed to make 26 appearances during his four-season stay at the club, while failing to hit the back
of the net even once.
Havenaar joined the Ventforet at the start of the 2010 year and netted an impressive 37 goals in 63 matches. The 24-year-old, who had an expiring contract at the newly relegated Japanese second tier outfit, recently signed a contract with the Arnhem outfit
that will keep him at GelreDome Stadion until the winter of 2015.
The former Ventforet ace revealed that the Dutch top tier suits his style of play and the competition will certainly help him enhance his skills further.
“Holland suits me, and little-by-little I want to grow as a player. If I can create some good results, I think offers from countries such as http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011 will come”, Havenaar said while talking to journalists.
The 24-year-old is the son of former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/ADO-Den-Haag-c38221 goalkeeper, Dido Havenaar, who spent most part of his career at the outfit from The Hague.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571 Alkmaar, by nine points. Although Vitesse have achieved impressive results thus far in the ongoing season, losing only four of their 17 fixtures, they certainly
seem to lack firepower upfront.
They have only scored 23 goals in all of their Eredivisie fixtures, with only six sides scoring less than the Arnhem outfit in the Dutch top tier.
However, arrival of Havenaar, who is set to officially join the club in January 2012, will certainly enhance the Arnhem-based outfit’s chances of finishing in the top five Eredivisie sides come the end of the season.
