Paris Saint-Germain are set to face the reigning Portuguese champions in the Champions League, and Portistas’ coach is confident of getting a positive result at Estádio do Dragão on Wednesday
Both sides have won their opening games in the competition and a mouth watering contest is expected between the two sides. Paris Saint-Germain have been impressive over the last few weeks, and are expected to give the hosts a tough time.
However, Porto coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitor-c36281 Pereira has said that Azuis e Brancos are up for the challenge, and has warned Les Parisiens not to take them lightly.
While talking to reporters, the 44-year-old stated that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 and Paris Saint-Germain are very different kind of clubs.
The coach said that the Portuguese giants believe in recruiting quality youngsters and grooming them to the level where they can be sold to bigger clubs in Europe.
"FC Porto is a club that normally bases its scouting system around recruiting quality young players, who then have to be sold when they reach a new level. So the team has to be renewed to keep winning titles that is the way the club has been run.”
However, on the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain have a lot of money and they have recruited a number of high profile players this summer. And Pereira believes that the Paris club is in a hurry to win titles, in order to justify their lavish spending.
The former Espinho coach added that Les Parisiens have transformed from an average team to a top European side in a very short span of time, and they are certain to pose all kind of problems to Porto this Wednesday.
“PSG are in a hurry to win titles and have lots of money, so they are two different ways of winning silverware.”
Vitor Pereira knows that PSG would test his side to the limits, but is upbeat about Dragões’ chances against the cash-laden club.
"We will be coming up against a quality side, both individually and collectively, but Paris Saint-Germain will be facing a quality side too.”
Both sides would look to seal all three points at Estádio do Dragão this Wednesday, in order to top the group.
