The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 manager is not a happy person after the Portuguese champions came second best against Paris Saint-Germain in their Champions League's encounter on Tuesday
Porto needed to avoid a defeat in Paris to qualify for the knockout stages of Champions League as the group leaders but were undone by a determined PSG side. Goals from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ezequiel-Lavezzi-c13073 were enough to send Les Parisiens through and Porto
coach, Vitor Pereira is far from pleased with the result.
While talking to reporters after the match, the 44-year-old tactician stated that it was not the kind of performance he wanted from his side and Porto were far from their best on Tuesday. The coach feels that Portistas lacked aggression last night, and he
is not satisfied with the result.
Referring to Porto’s home game against PSG, Pereira said that the Portuguese champions were more aggressive last time around and they should have played like that at Parc des Princes which they didn’t.
"I am not satisfied, when we played Paris at home, we were more aggressive.”
The boss added that his side lacked concentration and they lost possession on a number of times, and they saw very few of the ball on the pitch.
“We also lacked concentration and didn't have enough of the ball.”
The Portuguese said that he takes responsibility for rotating the squad in recent weeks but feels that Porto should have deal with that as they have enough European experience under their belt.
“I take responsibility for rotating my squad against Braga (in the Taça de http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984 last weekend).”
Despite the defeat, the former Santa Clara coach is taking positives from the match and has urged the players to play with more aggression in the upcoming games
“We need to take the positives out of this match and we need to be fully concentrated and show more aggression.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vitor-c36281 Pereira said that the result will help Porto a lot in the future and they need to do really well in the next round of competition.
“In the reverse fixture we completely dominated them. This will serve as experience for the future."
