Former Manchester United defender, Viv Anderson believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Patrice-Evra-c29231 should face Liverpool this Saturday, while not letting the fans chants affect his game.
The last time Evra took on Liverpool, he went on to have a clash with Luis Suarez on the pitch. This clash later saw the Uruguayan international get banned for eight games, since he apparently went on to racially abuse Evra.
Anderson is well aware of the fact that the Liverpool fans will lash out against Evra when he steps onto the pitch, but feels the defender is professional enough to deal with their attitude towards him.
When talking about the upcoming game and Evra, the former Red Devils is quoted to have said: "Patrice should definitely play, 100 per cent. There will be a backlash, but he did nothing wrong, so why should he not play?”
"He is experienced enough and old enough to deal with it. It won't be the first time he's been verbally attacked. If you cannot deal with it then you are never going to make a career for yourself.
"Patrice is at Manchester United playing in the Premier League and is a French international.
"He has proved he is able to stand up to all the outside pressures that have been heaped on him as he's built his career.”
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anderson-c5565 then went on to defend Evra even further, as he admitted it takes a lot of character to continue playing, after you have been abused on a racial level. He feels that not only does it show Evra’s character, but it also reveals just how dedicated
the defender is to United.
When the incident took place between Evra and Suarez, the charges that were brought up against Suarez were solely on Evra’s testimony.
As a result, it is easy to see just why the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 fans would be feeling a little hostile towards the defender in their upcoming game.
Nonetheless, should Evra manage to maintain his composure like he has for so many years, he could easily produce another outstanding performance and answer everyone lashing out at him in emphatic fashion.
