Caribbean cricket has gone through a massive slump in the last couple of decades and is no more a force to reckon with in international sport. However, the islanders have shown signs of improvement in the recent times and have given

Sammy and company lost the initial two Test matches of the tour at Lord’s and Trent Bridge. Their batting line-up, apart from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Marlon-Nathaniel-Samuels-c74804, looked completely out of sorts.
The visitors, however, bounced back in the rain-effected third Test at Birmingham and posted a big total of 426 runs on the board in their first innings. On top of that, Sammy’s men troubled the English batsmen and picked up five
wickets before England had scored 221 runs.
Richards is happy that the young West Indian team has shown character on the tour and also appreciated Denesh Ramdin, who scored a hundred during the Birmingham Test.
“It was amazing to see the transformation in the way the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/D-Ramdin-c1299 finally came to the party,” he
said.
In the previous years, Sammy has been heavily criticised for underperforming as a captain, but Richards is delighted that the all-rounder has done well during the tour of England.
Richards added, “You need to have a leader who can come out to the middle and make some sort of contribution. He has done enough and should not feel he has one foot in and one foot out as far as the leadership in concerned.”
The limited-overs series between the two countries will start from Saturday at Southampton, and it is expected to be a thrilling one because the visitors seem to be much stronger in the shorter formats of the game.
