I too have the on off issue my tv is also 1 1/2 years old and out of warranty... Sounds to me to be a poor quality TV as many are having this same issue. I was told it would cost ne 396 dollars for a repair- new units are selling for 586 dollars why bother to repair it... I will not go with this manufacturer again wait till xmas prices on other models will drop to..Resolve by not buying another vizio
