Vizio p42. My vizio plasma turns on briefly, then clicks, flashes snow, then returns to 'sleep'

My vizio plasma turns on briefly, then clicks, flashes snow, then returns to 'sleep' mode with black screen, but the green'on' light is still on...not too happy.....can anyone help?, thank you
