Vladimir Gazzayev laments Alania Vladikavkaz performance against Yenisey Krasnoyarsk
FC Alania Vladikavkaz drew 0-0 against FC Yenisey Krasnoyarsk in the latest Russian First Division clash at the central stadium Krasnoyarsk.
Alania head coach, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vladimir-c36322 Gazzayev, has lamented the performance put up by his team, urging the players to work harder in order to claim the top spot on the league table. The Russian national insisted that there is still time left to make a title winning
recovery despite back-to-back league draws against Krasnoyarsk and Chernomorets Novorossiysk.
The 31-year-old is of the view that Alanian Snow Leopards did not play to their potential and bemoaned the missed chances during the match. Gazzayev went on to accept that they have lost two points at a crucial stage of the season. Alania are currently at
the second spot and trail the league leaders by four points.
The promising manager complained about poor finishing and revealed his satisfaction over the refereeing decision during the match. Yenisey played the entire second half with 10 men as defender Ildar Shabayev was sent off. Gazzayev insisted that the Russian
national deserved the red card.
“Throughout the game we were on top of the opponents. After the removal of Shabayev, we failed to take advantage of the situation. We created a lot of chances, hit the post but unfortunately we did not score. We need to blame ourselves for the mistakes in
attack.” The Russian tactician was quoted as saying.
Gazzayev admitted that Alania needed to win the encounter against the weak opponents and assured the fans of better performances in the remaining matches of the season. Yenisey have managed to claim only two points from the last five league matches.
“As for the content of the game, I think we totally outplayed the opponent. You need to score goals of you want to win it and we have not taken our chances in front of opponent’s goal.” Gazzayev concluded.
Alania are leading the third-placed Ural Sverdlovsk Oblast with six points and trail the league leaders by four points. Gazzayev urged the players to gear up for the upcoming crunch home tie against Baltika Kaliningrad.
