Vocational Jobs?

Question

Where can i find a vocational job? I am a Freshman in College and am taking a year off to find a job and earn money to get a car. When i was in High School i was in a Special Ed. class. My struggle was/is Math -Basic Math. I am guessing i did not get any job placement direction from my Teacher because i was planning on going to College. How do i go about asking my teacher for direction/job placement for a vocational job?

Go to your local Vocational Rehabilitation Office. They can get you started maybe with another outside agency that provides contract services to them.

In NC we sign up special needs students at the age of 16 through school. Once a student is on the Voc Rehab client list, he/she can always go back and get help. So be up front about your disability which may need to be substantiated with your former high school.
