Question:

Vodafone Egypt!!?

I need a reply from specialists, vas engineers, whoever knows around!

1stly, my MCK 'when not reachable' service went off all of a sudden a couple of days ago and every time I try to re-activate it from my mobile it says "command error", and when I switch off my mob. for a while to try the *777# all over it says "no pending missed calls" though the *150# says I do have a missed call!!

2nd and hopefully last, I woke up today "the 29th of August" to find out that 90% of my sim card smses are gone! Do you know how it feels?!

I guess you all do know what it means to lose every saved good sms!

Are these Vodafone's recent system update consequences??

I contacted the CS and they are totally oblivious!

P.S.

And No, I have no kids around to play in mob. and delete smses, even if I had, they would not delete a one by one sms but go for a delete all step!

And No again, my mob. isn't old and chinking, it's still in guarantee and so far I had no complaints about it cause it's simply a neat Sony Ericsson

Need a useful reply here please!

  1. it can happen to any phone network. mine happened once and no explanation was given.  they seem oblivious too.  its just airwaves fighting with each other and we be the victim.  that too they wont sa.  they just kept mum.

so its best tt we save as much and as fast as possible.  the phone is fine and the network is fine for others but when u r the one hit u sure can boil!

so u hv to bite the bullet and if still unsatisfied change.  sorry to hear this. take care

  2. You have two separate issues, as I see it:  The outdated infrastructure/systems updates, and the mysterious sim card disappearances.  The one should be self-correcting (from your perspective), and should shortly no longer be an issue. As for the sim card, unless you hit something while trying to trouble shoot the initial problem, I have no idea - bad card?  I recommend a new card and down load as your capability allows.
