Vodka Watermelon?

Question

SO i attempted to make this last night for a party tonight. When I checked it this AM, the vodka still has not absorbed. It is to the "rim" of the whole I cut to pour. I punched air holes and had in on the counter for a few hours last night before moving it into the fridge. What can I do to make it work? (if your answer is "nothing" then please don't bother to write."

Even though this sounds really tasty, I would say just drop this idea all together and make some gin and pineapple.  It's a little bit sweeter and it will put you on the floor quick.

its called jungle juice.did u drain the watermelon overnite BEFORE adding the alcohol?it needs to be stored upside down over a bowl in the frigde overnite so it will be ready to absorb the alcohol.if u forgot to do that then u can probbably drain it today and still be able to save it, and then have it ready by tomorro morning

Did you add all of your vodka at once? Or a little at a time.

I try to add the alcohol over three or four smaller portions. Not all at once.

Watermelon wont absorb the vodka so try this...Take a chilled  whole watermelon cut a small lid like hole in the top then smash around the pulp not to much then  create small lil holes for straws to be inserted. Pour the vodka into and let your guest suck the vodka watermelon flavor out.

push a wooden spoon inside melon to scoop some of the middle out not too much though,  make sure you can still get a tight seal  where the bottle sits at   Or you can take an injector  and inject the vodka in it  It sometimes take awhile before its is absorbed into the melon its according to the amount of water the melon has inside  Yes, it will take it longer to be absorbed that way, when you just push the bottle in it is taken gradually
