  1. All beers, wines and spirits have lots of calories and are know as empty calories as they add weight without you getting any benefits from them.

  2. no,they are not fattening when mixed with a low calorie drink like diet coke.they are both low in calories but bacardi would have slightly more than the vodka

  3. all alcohol is fattening, as your body see's it as sugar, and so stores it as excess fat

  4. if you are going to have the same number of standard drinks, and the vodka or bacardi are straight, they will have less kilojoules/calories than the larger.

  5. I think Lager's quite fattening, I think probably, but Vodka and Bacardi are worse for you

  6. theres no fat in them but one single shot is 50 calories but if you use a diet mixer then its not too bad.

  7. They are all still loaded with carbs and empty calories.

  8. this site will tell you the caloric content of many alcoholic drinks:

  9. If you mix them with diet soda, vodka and rum are not fattening. Thats what me and my friends do so we don't gain weight when we drink every weekend.

  10. Not sure if this will help but I know that vodka, whiskey and brandy are 1 point on weightwatchers diet - so you can have vodka and diet coke and it is only 1 point.Lager is 3 points per pint. Dark spirits contactn more calories than clear ones and alchopops (vodka based) are 2.5 points I think!

    Hope this helps :-)

  11. Yes - as long as it's in moderation and you have a low-sugar mixer with it. Beer, lager and wine have a lot of sugars in.

Vodka and barcadi don't.  As a rule clear spirits are the best, dark spirits such as whisky or brandy also have some sugar in.

Sweet liqueurs tend to be the worst, not only do they have a lot of sugar in they often have other alcohols in that give you terrible hangovers.

There is research about red wine being better for you but it's been shown that it applies to any alcoholic drink.
