  1. Generally - voltage fluctuation is NOT present in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi but you can have it in the rest of the UAE (Ajman, Fujairah, RAK, UAQ)

The reason being Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Dubai are having their own Electricity Company like ADWEA (Abu Dhabi), SEWA for Sharjah and DEWA for Dubai. These utility companies are ensuring that the local power consumption specially during summer where the load is high is being met by the Power Plant Capacity.

The rest of the UAE are dependent on the Federal Grid and with increasing loads in RAK and Ajman, voltage dip are being felt instanteneously in some locations.

I would therefore recommend that Voltage Regulator/Stabilizer is not required in Dubai, Abu dhabi and Sharjah but please use one if you are going to settle in Ajman, RAK, UAQ and Fujairah.

    Goodluck !
