Volcano poas or arenal volcano, which one woudl you choose to visit and why?

I have to choose one due to limitation in time

I would choose Arenal because there are much more things to do and the place were it is located is safier than Poas, although Poas is really nice, Arenal is better,

Arenal:  La Fortuna (the town near Arenal) has a lot of other things to do (Poas has la Paz waterfalls) in the event that clouds/fog prevent you from seeing the volcano.  For example I have been to Arenal 14 times and have seen the volcano at night 8 times.  

They are very different volcanos however.  The only drawback with Arenal would be its distance from San Jose.

definetly arenal i have been to both and arenal spits lava in the morning if you stay overnite at a hotel also arenal's surrounding is more interesting.

I would say Arenal because of the hot springs and rafting tour that i took. I really enjoyed the Museum of Vulcanicity.

arenal is amazing! if you stay at the tabacon resort it includes a pass to the hot springs which are incredible.  we also ziplined near there through skytrek...the fastest/longest lines in the country!
