  1. The pacific ring of fire is a good example of the pattern of volcanoes.

Volcanoes are generally found where tectonic plates pulla apart or come together.

Volcanoes are also found at 'hot spots' which arent necessarilly at plate boundaries. Hot spots are formed by a stream of hot mantle rising up from the earths crust. There are 40-50 hotspots around the globe, the hawaiian island are thought to have been formed this way.

There are far more negative effects of volcanic activity on humans than positive effects.

When a volcano erupts, huge billowing ash clouds arise which can settle on nearby settlements and can cause alot of damage.

Poisonous gases are also given off which can contribute to acid rain, which over time can wear away building materials and can kills vegetation :)

A positive effect of volcanic activity is that volcanic eruptions also provide the benefit of adding nutrients to soil through the weathering process of volcanic rocks.

    i hope this helps!
