Very true.  Al Gore is 'The Dunce of the Year/  Along with all the other libs and their 'human haters'.  He is full of c**p also.  

The undersea volcanic activity, with lava at 3000 Degrees, is enough to warm the entire ocean area up.  Just as it does on occasion in the Western Pacific and creates the El Nino phenomenon.  The ice cover of the Arctic began receding in 1999, just when the volcanic activity started.  there are enormous releases of CO2 with the eruptions also.  An editorial in the IBD on 7-1-2008 also has a graph of the ice mass shrinking since the eruptions began.

Maybe if he has been out fishing. Volcanoes under the Antarctic ice cap have been known for decades. Underwater volcanoes in the area of the Arctic ice cap have also been documented. It would take a super volcano to have any noticeable effect.

A two-week cruise on an icebreaker to the top of the world last summer gave scientists a look at a violent volcanic eruption on the deep-sea floor.  Sonar scans at a stretch of the undersea ridge, about 500 kilometers from the North Pole, revealed several distinctive volcanic features.  The largest of these undersea features, which usually have flat tops scarred with prominent central craters, are about 2 kilometers across and a few hundred meters tall.
