Most Nursing homes would love a volunteer to visit the elderly and most schools could use volunteer tutors for the younger kids.  You could also try the library, they could set up a program where you could read to pre-schoolers.  Volunteering is very rewarding and also looks great on job applications once you are old enough to work.
