Gadzhi Gadzhiyev has admitted that the team is done with the summer transfer window shopping and has lamented the latest Russian Premier League defeat against Terek Grozny.
FC Volga Nizhny Novgorod head coach, Gadzhi Gadzhiyev, has lamented his side's 2-0 defeat in the latest Russian Premier League tie against Terek Grozny at Stadion Akhmat-Khadi Kadyrova, insisting that they need a lot of hard work
to put things right.
The Volgari recorded their third defeat of the ongoing league campaign, having already suffered back-to-back defeats against Spartak Moscow and Rubin Kazan respectively. As things stand, they are at the 13th spot on the league
table.
Gadzhiyev, who signed a two-year contract with the Russian outfit last month, has bemoaned the series of league results, admitting that the fans are not expecting these types of results after their brilliant opening day win over
Dynamo Moscow.
The 66-year-old takes full responsibility for the recent losses, admitting that the Novgorod-based club are lacking self confidence at the moment after dropping down vital points on the league table already.
“Terek deserves the win of course. But I would not say that they had the advantage throughout the game. They may be a little more attacking, but no more. We missed the first goal, I admit, but we conceded the second goal on a counter
attack in the end.”
“We have lots of problems and there should be a delicate balance between attack and defence. Our attack is not very good - probably, we lacked quality players in this department. When a team loses, the coaches say a little longer.”
The former Krylia Sovetov Samara manager was quoted as saying.
Commenting on the ongoing summer transfer window, Gadzhiev has told that the Russian outfit is not likely to make anymore signings as they are told by the owners to remain calm until they pay the club’s debts.
Volga have managed to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Dmitri-Kudryashov-c11405, Aleksei Sapogov and Yegor Tarakanov from Terek Grozny, FC Nizhny Novgorod and FC Gornyak Uchaly respectively.
The Volga Natives, meanwhile, signed http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Artur-c6727 Nigmatullin and Artur Sarkisov on a season-long loan spell.
