Volga Nizhny Novgorod president Aleksei Goikhman blasts ‘uncultured’ Zenit St. Petersburg fans
Aleksei Goikhman, Volga Nizhny Novgorod president, has revealed that Dynamo Moscow fans were more cultured than the Zenit faithful when they hosted Zenit at the Lokomotiv Stadium in round 14 of the Russian premier league.
An http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Danko-Lazovic-c10188 was given an electric shock by one of the policemen. The incident took place when the striker went to the stands and wanted to throw his
shirt onto the travelling Zenit fans.
Zenit fans grew out of control over the incident, which reportedly caused injuries to the Russian premier league top scorer. Medical reports conducted by the club reveal that the star sustained a first degree burn to the subscapularis area on the right.
Zenit are now consulting prosecutors for putting up a criminal case against the officials, after acquiring medical reports from doctors who are not officially associated with the club.
Goikhman has accused the Zenit fans over jumping out of their seats, breaking the seats, throwing fire crackers, breaking the fences and engaging in improper conduct. He further claimed that Zenit are responsible for all the damage done to the Lokomotiv
Stadium.
“If law enforcement officers had acted otherwise, they would have carried the whole stadium and killed all of Nizhny Novgorod. Nizhny Novgorod has not seen such a crazy audience. We talked about the fans of Dynamo, but they are opposed to those who came
from St. Petersburg. Dynamo fans are cultured people, representatives of the cultural capital. It is something unimaginable. In the 9th
minute, people started to climb out of their sectors and began using fire crackers and rockets. I have never seen such thing.”
The latest incident has put the football federation on a high alert, as the image of Russian football is in serious jeopardy. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Police-c40244 could not control the enraged fans and had to retort to using tear gas.
Preliminary investigations have reportedly been started. Help from media would be sought in order to determine how, why and where the mess all started.
