Volkswagen or mazda?

which is more reliable/lasts longer?

VW they are the same company that makes audis and porsche...  Mazada is a japanese ford.

i suggest a GM, Chrysler, or Ford product, they have a bad reputation but are very good reliable vehicles

take for example the Chevy Silverado which is rated one of the top ten cars this year

they're both very good cars. but it all depends on the specific vehicle you're buying. new or used? used could have been treated poorly before you and really s***w you over with repairs. all VWs after 2000 have held up quite well. my 1999 mazda 626 has also, though. i own a 2006 passat, 1999 626, and a 2000 jetta. they all work great. so that is a tough question you're asking. i've been raised in mazdas and VWs and i'm torn between the two

Mazda, Japanese engineering tends to be much more reliable then German. And repairs for Japanese are way cheaper than German cars.
