The Bayer Leverkusen sporting director has hinted that Sami Hyypia and Sascha Lewandowski could be appointed on a permanent basis.
Bayer Leverkusen have had a sensational end to the season as they have secured 14 points put of a possible 18 in the last six league games. The duo was appointed when Robin Dutt was sacked after a series of disappointing results
and have been inspirational in ensuring the club a place in the UEFA Europa League.
Voller claimed that initially the club wanted the two managers to continue until the end of the season but given their performance in the last six games, there is a chance they may continue.
The former Bayer Leverkusen player hinted on the possibility of the two-man team to continue as managers in the next campaign. However, he admitted that the club will analyse other options also and will come to a decision in a
few weeks time. He is confident that the side will certainly make the right decision which will be in favour of both the parties.
"When you pick up points like that, then it is a positive argument. And when you also see how the pair was accepted by the team, then you can imagine continuing with both of them. It would be negligent of us not to consider other
options. We will now analyse things in depth,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Leverkusen striker Andre Schurrle has denied reports that he has been contacted by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 for a possible transfer in the summer. The attacker insisted that there has been no official contact between the two
sides and has refused to comment on the situation.
“I and my agent have not had any contact so we will just have to wait. We will see how interesting it is when it becomes concrete,” he concluded.
Bayer Leverkusen have ended the season in fifth place behind the likes of Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach hence securing a place in next year’s UEFA Europa League. The team won 15 of the 34
