Bayer Leverkusen’s Director of Sport Rudi Voller has stated that it has not been a very good season and that the players should work harder to get things right.
Robin Dutt’s side has gathered 26 points from the 17 games played and has won seven times in the Bundesliga this season. They have shown a good recovery after a slow start to the season and are 11 points behind the current leaders
Bayern Munich.
Voller claimed that the results so far in the league this season have been unsatisfying and the team could have done better. He admitted that the team has dropped points from some matches which could have been easy wins.
The chief insisted that the team is not playing on the level it played last season and cab certainly be better from the displays in this campaign. He added that the performances this season have been satisfactory and the team has
to improve if it has to finish in the top four at the end of the season.
“We cannot and certainly must not be satisfied with just 26 points in the first half of the season. We could see all season that something was not right and small successes and the recent run of six games without defeat just hid
that,” he was quoted as saying in an interview.
