Volley All festival in Thailand in collaboration with FIVB remains successful
After the success of Cool Volley Festival in Pakistan, the Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) in collaboration with Thailand Volleyball Association organised a similar sort of activity in Bangkok, Thailand.
The children’s Volley All Festival was long promised by Thailand Volleyball Association but it was delayed last year due to the heavy floods in the country. Nonetheless, the FIVB and TVA fulfilled their commitment as the conditions became normal. The Volley
All Festival was finally held in the midst of January and welcomed around 2,000 children from various schools of the country.
The Royal Park of King Rama 9 in Bangkok provided the excellent backdrop for the colourful event. The credit should be given to president of Thailand Volleyball Association, Somporn Chaibangyang, who really put an utmost effort to bring a lot of joys on
Thai children.
The boys and girls from different schools joined the festivity, while some of the top volleyball and beach volleyball players of Thailand also showed up at the event. The presence of professional players created a great wave of excitement among children.
The FIVB provided necessary support of Thailand Volleyball Association in setting up the sporty environment for the participants of the Volley All Festival.
A number of volleyball courts were set up in the Royal Park, while FIVB provided the gear. The children were divided into different teams, which played against each other. The professional instructors helped the children to understand the rules of the game.
There was a great hustle and bustle in the Royal Park and everyone enjoyed the event.
The main purpose of the Volley All Festival was to make grass-root level development in the field of volleyball in Thailand. The event turned out to be great success and FIVB intends to work for the betterment of sport in Thailand.
Quite recently, the FIVB organised the Cool Volley Festival in Shakargarh, Punjab Pakistan, where children from some 100 schools took part in different kinds of activates.
All in all the FIVB is very much concerned about the development of volleyball in Asia. Such events will sure help to create awareness about the sport in the region.
