  1. haha My best memory. Me and two other friends nick names we got on our team. My friend Emlyn was Digs, Julia was Hits, and I was dives. We got the names because we were all really good at them and we did them in every game. lol When ever we played a good play my coach yelled "Digs, Hits, Dives. Digs, Hits, Dives" lol. good times

Also, when we play with the intermediate-elementary school players, me and emlyn were banned from spiking/serving because we did it to hard that they could never return it! lol oh well. they gotta get used to it.

  2. hmm... i remember i sucked i didn't get it or ANYTHING... i practiced talked to the coach and the next game i hit the winning hit  and took our team to be the champions

  3. practicing my serve for the game and i accidentally served the ball directly at one of the most popular girl in  school's head!!!!

    it was sooo embarrassing!

  4. i have a lot of memories from playing volleyball.  probably my favorite are making all these new friends and winning the championship.  i have made soo many new friends and we all hang out now like we are inseparable.  also my team have won the championship 3 times in a row in our league.  i love that feeling of winning a great/tough game.

probably my least favorite memory would be the practices we had before our championship games.  our coach is really tough on us then and works us to our limits.  it soo exhausting.

  5. alot of detail ok good i like to talk lol

    ok so good experience

*i got to play w/ my brother was really great i am 17 he is 28 and he was playing high school when i started elem. so that brought us close and he was always there 2 support me

*this yr. i will be a high school senior and i have been on a school team since 4/5 grade and i have made loads of friends i mean like one of my best friends i met through volleyball and i got to hit my enemies in the face because we practiced together lol but it also brought us together a little i moved from cali to georgia my 8th grade yr. and volleyball keeps me sane

*its a great release of energy

the diving spiking (well i cant spike lol i cant jump 4 nothing) but when ur angry nothin like an over hand serve

*the most boring teams most boring games can be fun like i dont think volleyball can be boring if u love the sport

is that enough positive? if not e-mail me californiarocks21

    but huh ok negative

*i have gotten hit in the face

the drills after we loose an easy game

the silent rides home on the bus when coach wont let us talk cuz we shoulda won

    and just loosing

but the worst part is the season ending even if i didnt like a team mate i didnt want the season to end

our shirts says "My team is my family and the court is my home"

volleyball is my heart its where i live its what i love if u dont love it its gonna get old 4 u like any sport

    ok worst experience is

playoffs i forgot my shoes at home one of my teamates mom went to payless and got me some shoes but i told her the wrong shoe size so i played lie 6 games it size 10 shoes when i where an 11 wide can u say ouch

  6. Oh, fun stuff.... best memory, playing beach volleyball before my first club volleyball tourney in California (Twin Peaks VBC rocks), watching the kids I helped coach with Reedsport HS make state this year, and coaching my Aces kids with Uintah Recreation district and getting them all to overhand serve by the end of the year...woo hoo!

Worst memory - I HATED the bucket drill playing club ball. Coach gets a full wheeled garbage can of volleyballs, and tosses "tips" all over the court that you have to dig up. Pass half of the bucket or do it again... AAARGH!

  7. My favorite memory was probably when my team was playing against the hardest team in the league, they are so good!  Well my team only beat one other school the whole season which was the easiest team to beat.  But when we were playing against the hard team, we were doing better than we ever played!  We ended up losing 22-25 in the last set but it was awesome my team was working together so well for the last game of the year.  I'm really bad at spiking and in the game I was playing front row and the ball came at me perfect for spiking and I spiked it and they couldn't return it!  I was so happy!

My worst memory is more of an embaressing one.  In a modified game the ball came at me and I bumped it at a weird angle and it went into the trash can where all the players threw their water cups out so it got all wet!  My team laughed so hard and the coach had to wipe the volleyball off on his shirt!  Another embarressing one was when in practice one time the ball was hit right above my head and I didnt know where it was until I realized it was right above me.  I didnt want to look up and have it smack me in the face so I tried to put my hands over my head but it hit me right on the top of my head.  Everyone was laughing so hard at me and my coach yelled at me!!

  8. i love volleyball because for me its all about teamwork and having fun but the best part out of all of it is being able to make new friends during the whole experiance  but the worst part of it is the drills we had to do during practice i mean we had to do so many drills i thought i was going to puke but the drills helped alot when it came to the games because it made me a better player so i guess the whole experiance was fun and exciting

  9. i have great memories.... O yeah here is a good one one time my KIVA team was playing a really great team had very tall girls. We went to a third game and the score was 14 to 8 they were up. We got th ball back and was my turn to serve I ended up ace-ing every point and we won the game!! I was so nervous it was CRAZY! But anything can happen if you just belive and concentrate. Volleyball is a great sport you should never quit.

worst memory was when my coach yelled at me at a time out and cussed at me because I shanked a pass. He made me cry.

  10. This year was my first year playing volleyball and it was a great experience. I didn't get along with my teammates that well but I didn't worry about them because it wasn't high school volleyball it was a club. My greatest moment was when I kept on serving the ball over and our team kept on getting aces. It felt so good to get praise from my teammates.

  11. one of my favorite volleyball memories are ones where i was quick enough to pass a ball that was way way way out after someone shanked it & we would get it over..those are always fun..makes you feel accomplished..also..during practice we have this really tiring drill where there are four people at each corner of one side of the net on both sides..& they each have a ball & you have to start in the middle & one at a time they hit down or tip the ball & you have to get it up no matter what! when you are done going through one side you go under the net to the other side & repeat..this drill goes on for like 2mins i think? maybe less but it feels like forever cause your running & everything & sometimes it's impossible to get some of the balls up..anyways..one day i was just fired up & was able to pass every single ball..of course i was beat after but i felt great!

as for the bad..my worst memory is probably losing to a team who didn't earn it..as in, they made points only because of my teams mistakes..that's the worst feeling...

    hope this helps =]

  12. It was so nice to come across this question;)  I have some great memories playing volleyball.  I haven't played in 10 years and so this is very exciting to bring up again.  Some of the best years and days of my life were on the court.  I learned so much from my coach and team that will stay with me for the rest of my life.  I had the privilege of being captain for a couple of years and loved every minute of  it.  My best memories were my junior and senior years.  We were a team that was always 2nd in many tournys.  The same team would beat us every year by just a few points.  I remember my junior yr. we had two tournaments with this team one in the fall and one in the winter.  At the winter meet, we finally beat that team for the first time in like 6 years!!!  I also got MVP that year.  I got MVP in almost every tourny we went to that year.  My senior yr. I remember this one tourny we went to everyone was out to get us.  We were not playing very well.  Our team went and did something crazy.  We all sat in a big circle and shared one snickers bar.  We figured we all just needed to "come together".  The game right after that was the greatest game of our year.  We fell behind right away and everyone started doubting each other.  After a time out, we rallied remembering our "snickers circle" .  We got the ball and we were down 14-6.  I was serving and just about aced every serve and we won 16-14.  That same day I came close to crushing my elbow.  It seemed like the more trials and opposition we got, the better we did.  We got 1st in that tournament!!!

A reallly embarrissing moment was when the ball went in the bleachers and I couldn't climb up them to get the ball (the bleachers were closed) Oh! another one was when I just got called for MVP and then went to use the bathroom that was temporarily a girls locker room.  Well, they forgot to take the sign off that said "girls locker rm" and walked in to a bunch of guys showering after a soccer meet.

I made soooooo many friends during those years and still see and meet them as of today.  Hope you have the same experience cause I think its just wonderful.  Good luck!!!

  13. For me, my best memory was actually way back in junior high volleyball.  The opposing team made this crazy spike and one of my teammates shanked the ball way back into the back corner of the gym, almost behind the bleachers.  I sprinted to get to that ball and I had my back to the net, and basically just slammed that ball backwards as hard as i could (you know, when you turn around to send the ball to go over the net.  I know it's got a name but i forgot).  And the other team didn't think it would go over so they didn't attempt to block, and the ball just slightly hit the net, just enough for it to drop straight down and be called in (it was like 2 inches away from the line)  It was so rewarding!

As to a worst memory, I dont think i had any terrible ones because i loved playing and tried to stay optimistic.  I do have to say though, my first year of high school vball camp was rough...

  14. Best Memories:  Running out of bounds, and saving the ball during game point!  woo hoo! (we won!)  My friend Erin going up for the hit, perfect approach, nice vertical,  and her completely missing the ball, only because she went too early.  I love her she's amazing!  :D  Being taught by Monica on positioning when a hitters about to kill the ball, towards me!  Comes straight to me all the time now, and I make the pass easy-peasy!!!  Getting floor burns and bruises because I saved the ball, and got us to win a point, even if we lost the game.  Coming up with handshakes before the ball is served, and feeling connected with my team mates, even in practice, when we always support each other, even though we're losing.  The few times that we actually won a game (we're not the best in our league but we try), and yelling and screaming our heads off, because we had defeated our schools rival.  The sweaty and tough practices when all my volleyball mates complained about being tired, but we never gave up.  Rarely giving up hope, and making my serves in with an A-C-E!!  :D  Also, my 'big sister' Cat giving me hugs, and telling me that I did a good job! (We had 'sisters' on our volleyball team) ♥

Worst Memories:  Losing games when we know that we could have won, and we were just letting the bad karma get to us.  The tiring, endless running, forever and ever. And ever. And ever. =/

Oh well!!! Hope this inspired you!!

Volleyball is amazing, but my mates make it even more amazing! ♥  Good luck being inspired!!
