1. sometimes, its easier for some people to hit it overhand, but if that doesnt work, then try the underhand serve again but make sure that your watching the ball the whole time. It always makes the best difference to keep your eye on the ball

  2. Same thing with my overhand serve. Get it high and over. Don't worry about it going straight over the net. Hit the bottom of the ball............ um............. and swing faster!

    Good Luck!!!

(Have a good attitude about it!)

  3. walk into the serve

  4. Keep working on it, and start out kind of close to the net. Once you get it over from about 10 feet, then go back a little farther. In no time you'll be nailing them from the baseline. trust me, it works. I've tried it.

  5. underhand is the easy way to serve, just focus on the ball, and make sure u hit it at its center,if u want it to go straight, hit it at its right side if u want it to go left and vice versa.

most importantly, make sure u don't just swing your hand in the air and miss the ball, cuz u'll look stupid.

  6. its not sad, ive never tried underhand serving but my coach said its harder to control when you do it underhand so if your doing overhand stick with it

  7. keep eye contact, phit with ur hand but in a fist, and don't throw the ball

  8. when you serve you bend your fingers over your palm and hit it by by swinging your arm under it to get it in the air over the net. hope this helps

  9. I think it is important to walk into and keep your arm moving in follow through. Also make sure that when you are standing to the side and are holding the ball in one hand your other can move smoothly around to hit it on the underside, not obstructed by your chest or hip or anything. Also make sure you hit the ball in a smooth continuous movement from the underside.

  10. well.. i was lik tht too. u hav to step into the ball. now i hav to under serve far away from the line cause its to powerful.. but mainly i serve overhand now.. i hope it helps. GOOD LUCK : )

  11. Make sure you lean into it. Use your whole body to propel the ball. You will have more success this way.

  12. when you first get up to sever what all of my team did was bounce it a few times and then you take a step in and not cross the lines then pretend like your scooping out ice cream and then keep you shoulders pointed toward the other side of the net and follow thorough when you hit the ball and keep practicing

  13. volleyballstud35 has a great answer. Start at the 3 meter line (10 foot line if you prefer).

Get the serve over. Take one step back and get the serve over. If you get your serve over and in, you take a step back. When you miss a serve, take one more try. If you miss 2 in a row, take one step back in and make the serve. The key is to be successful.

Missing the serve may be physical or it may be mental. When you are first starting out, it is a long way from the service line to get over a tall net. Once you get more practice at it, you will laugh at the idea that you could not get the serve over.

  14. make sure when you go to hit the ball get a lot of power into it by using your legs. don't try to just swing your arm really hard. also you can try "side arm" you stand sideways to the net and when you go to hit the ball it makes you use your whole body to hit the ball. look into it, it worked for me!!
