I need help with my 4 step approach. Going on to junior varsity conditioning and the coach says i need to work on using both of my hands. I bring my both my hands up on the second step, but i leave my left arm down when im spiking.

Would jumping higher make it easier to form my left arm movement better, or do i just need to really focus on bringing it up?

  1. the feet are

    left-small(1) right-big(2) together(3) jump(0

    the arms are

bring both arms together (hands crossed) as u are taking the first step

swing them all the way back taking the second step

bring ur hands all the way up as u are steeping and jumping.

be sure to leave ur left hand up and follow through with ur right hand by snapping ur wrist

  2. on the 2nd step u bring both arms back, on the 3rd step u bring both arms forward which helps you explode off the ground. then one arm goes back and the other forward.

  3. jumping higher: yes it will help you a whole lot. you will be able to smack the ball right down to the floor. try finding a brick wall, standing about 5 inches from and jumping as high as you can. set goals for yourself as to how many bricks up you would liek to jump you should probably do about 20-30 of them as needed. as time goes by you should be jumping higher and doing more vertical jumps.

Your swing: Yes. getting your other hand up there is also important. Your right hand will smack the ball down, and your left hand will help you position on where you should be hitting the ball. aslo ot will help with your vertical jump.

  4. You should bring both hands "back" one step before the last step (3rd step in 4-step approach), and swing them both up when you punch the final step. Before the 3rd step your arms should go like normal (one forward, one backward).

  5. my coach says to tap tap(feet) swing arms jump arms in bow and arrow postion then bring your arm to spike it .hard 2 explain sry if i didnt help
