Volleyball, rotations...?

Question

Hey, I'm finally able to play volleyball this year.. it's my Sophomore year of high school.

I have a few questions about Volleyball though.

When do you rotate?

This is kind of a weird question but:

How do you shave closer to the area where the spandex will be?

&&

Do people look down on Underhand Servers, even though they can still get it over the net?

Plus,

Are short servers, really an advantage or a disadvantage?

your team will rotate when they win a rally that the other team initiated with a serve.  

I don't know about the shaving issue.

Underhand serve can be effective but most varsity coaches are going to expect overhand topspin, a float serve, or even a jump serve.

Height may or may not have an advantage.  Consistency and placement are the keys on my team.

lets say the other team serves it, and your team gets the point, then your team rotates. so basically its when the other team messes up, and its not your teams ball when they mess up.. you rotate.

people dont look down on underhand servers..... the other team just isnt as intimidated by them.. but if you are underhanded server, just keep practicing. you'll get it!

short servers are more of an advantage. because the other team doesnt usually expect them to go over the net.

When do u rotate?:

-- say your team serves and the don't make it over the net..... U stay in the same positions and than the other team serves and u guys have a little rally than the ball hits  the floor on the other teams side..... that is when u rotate... if u r not serving and the other team drops the ball u rotate. BUT if your team did serve than you stay in the same position....... basically whenever your team gets the ball back you rotate....

How do you shave closer to the area where the spandex will be?:

-- All you have to do is where longer spandex... or...try your best to shave closer...

Do people look down on underhand serves, even though the can still ge4t over the net?:

-- I hate to say it but ya.... the only reason why though is because you can get a harder serve with over hand.... and it is easier to control....

Are short servers, really and advantage or a disadvantage?:

-- No on both..... I know some short people that can serve the ball over the net and some tall ones that can't! It all depends on you.. weather you are determined to do it or not
