Volleyball Breaking News: Radostin Stoychev has been selected as the new coach of Bulgaria

Bulgaria’s Men’s National Volleyball team has recently hired the services of new head coach, Radostin Stoychev. The Bulgarian squad attended the last major event of 2010 FIVB Men’s World Championship in Italy under the supervision of former coach, Silvano
Prandi.
The team scored the 7th position in the World Championship, which ran from September 25th to October 10th. Prandi built a good reputation as he enabled the Bulgarian team to win bronze-ware at the CEV European Championship in 2009, which was the
same year he joined the team. Anyhow, the team has been unsuccessful for a consecutive two years and have been unable to clinch a berth in the final round of FIVB World League.
This damaged Silvano Prandos reputation and he was laid off on Tuesday, 23rd November, 2010. Following the dismissal of Silvano, the native 42-year old Radostin Stoychev from Bulgaria took the responsibility of leading the Bulgarian team toward
success. This is the first time that he has taken on his first national team role. The head coach’s position comes with a lot of responsibility and Stoychev has also been given a set of goals.
Stoychev was previously associated with Italian club Trentino BetClic. He proved his endeavours while training and preparing the players for the 2009 FIVB Club World Championship in Doha, Qatar. Stoychev did a great job and defined a clear dimension for
his team. In addition to this, he also enabled Trentino BetClic to play at the CEV Champions League in 2009 and 2010. Taking his achievement and successful strategies into consideration, Bulgaria has also chosen him as coach for the National Men’s Volleyball
Team.
Initially, Styochev has taken up a two-year contract with the Bulgarian team but he would also continue to coach Trentino for the upcoming event of 2010 FIVB Men’s Club World Championship, which is scheduled to take place in Doha, Qatar from December 15-21.
Styochev has a lot of plans for the Bulgarian team. The management expects him to achieve many goals, in order to stay in the job.  In the first place, he has the massive task of coaching the team for the 2011 FIVB World League Final Round. Secondly, he
is responsible for taking the team into the top-four in the 2011 CEV European Championship. Likewise, the 2011 FIVB World Cup in Japan and the London 2012 Olympics are two demanding events for Stychev, which will put his abilities to a real test.
