Volleyball: Can you explain the 6-2 rotation?

I have done it but always forget it, I am a left, and play both back row and front row. Thanks!

  1. here is the layout:

                                            -3 position

      

         -4 position                                                       -2 position

                                             -6 position

         -5 position                                                       -1 position

    rotate like from one to two three to four ect. HOPE DIS HELPS!


  2. You play defense on the left in the front row (blocking) and in deep middle back in the back row. You should have 2 setters and 2 middles.Let's ignore the libero for now. Each one of your setters will take turns setting (3 rotations each = 1/2 the time) while they are in the back row. As soon as one of setters comes back to serve, he/she will be the new setter (he/she just rotated into the back row). You will normally rotate behind the setter, so just follow one of them around the entire time. Whether you're in the front row or the back row, you should pass during serve receive. Hope this helps.
