Volleyball Canada offers free Sitting Volleyball Coaching Clinic in Vancouver
The Volleyball Canada and the Pacific Volleyball Society have announced that they are set to organise a free Sitting Volleyball Coaching Clinic in the next week.
According to the plan, the city of Vancouver will hold this activity. The coaching clinic will be held at the Richmond Olympic Oval in British Columbia, Canada on Sunday, March 18. The fascinating feature of this learning activity is that there will be no
fee or cost for the attendees. It is likely to be a one-day training session, which will start at 9 in the morning and it will last till 5pm.
The Vancouver Sitting Volleyball Clinic will serve the primary purpose of building participation and building capacity. In addition, several long-term athlete development (LTAD) stages will be touched upon. The participants of the clinic will be told about
fundamentals and basic rules of the game. Different terminologies, techniques and skills will be discussed.
The Canadian Paralympic Committee and Sports Canada will fulfil the financial needs of the coaching course. Necessary items and supporting material will be installed, in order to facilitate the participants of the clinic. Courts will be set up and well equipped
class rooms will also be made. The participants will be provided with complete audio and visual support. LCD screens, projectors, flip charts and white board will be used to give presentations about the sport.
Previously, the Volleyball Canada carried out two volleyball clinics in Montreal, Quebec, and Winnipeg, M.B.
A lot of aspiring sitting volleyball players benefitted from the clinics. Here is another opportunity for people in Vancouver and other parts of Canada to join the Sitting Volleyball Clinic for free and get the knack of the challenging sport. The experts
and instructors at the volleyball clinic will help the people with disabilities in pursuing their goals in the sport of volleyball and physical activity.
The organisers of the volleyball clinic are hopeful that this workshop will serve its purpose and they will receive a good response. The last two sessions proved to be great success and created a lot of awareness among people about sitting volleyball.
