  1. Play hard and be aggressive, go after every ball and don't let it drop.  Be loud on the court call the ball and call out the hitters, let everyone know if the ball is coming cross court or line.  Give your hardest on everything.  If you mess up on a pass try and get the next kill or ace.  Consistency is key in the game.  Be smart... if the set is bad look for the tip or push to the open spot.  Also keep your enthusiasm up, compliment someone if they do something good or try and pick them up if they make a mistake.  Be a leader on the court and you'll get noticed.

  2. Be sure that if you mess up, you copntinue with the attitude of  "You'll never see that again".  Be proud, positive, loud, and quick,  You'll do fine!!

  3. Always look the coach in the eye.  Hustle for every ball and hit the floor.  Smile and have a good attitude. Ex. If you s***w up don't hang your head say that you will get it next time.  If somebody else screws up encourage them.  Call for the ball. And most important listen to what your coach tells you and do it, don't argue.  And have fun!!

  4. practice again and find the perfect spot to keep hitting the ball since if you do that same spot, u will hit it like you practiced because if u get nervous u still will hit it right. sleep alot and in the morning tommorow, make sure that u r extremely enegized because if you are not, u will look like u r not trying. also, u won't be able 2 hit it powerfully. i would say to prctice one more time in the morning. flex your hands and do some arm strenghning things. think that u can hit it no matter what, because u will.**

  5. Just smile and have fun.

Don't get discouraged when you mess up, everyone does, and coaches are looking for people with good attitudes!

    And also, be confident!

Don't be nervous, almost always when you try out for club, they don't want to turn anyone away, and they start new teams all the time.

I hope you do great! :]

  6. The trick is to not show that your nervous, it defiantly reads in the way you play. Another thing is coaches love to see a team player, that being encouraging others trying out, and congratulating someone on a good past serve or hit. Once you step into that gym, have a big smile on your face stay relaxed and show them all that you got! And! Stay low!!!! No matter WHAT! stay low when the ball is in play! Have your knees bent and arms out, be ready for anything and always be moving, not like bouncing everywhere, but sort of move with the ball, stay in your area, but sort of position yourself at all times as if it will be coming over, that way your always ready, I really hope that this helps! And good luck = )

  7. hey, i just got back from tryouts and they bumped me up 1 year higher division. Here are some things that i did that might help you...

-dont be nervous.. play your game and have fun! you wont even notice them...

-when youre warming up the coaches might look at you so make those count

-BE LOUD ON THE COURT. One of the things i noticed today is the fact that no one talked out on the court.. it was dead silence and when i was playing i was the only one screaming "outside outside!" "its a tip!" "out!" "its in its in" "hit it!" the coaches notice that...

-Concentrate on your passes and hits and make sure that theyre good because you never know when theyre watching.

-Congratulate your team mates even if you dont know them.. give them high fives and tell them theyre doing a great job.

-MOVE YOUR FEET... they really notice that too.. and when youre passing, keep the ball off the net for the setters.

-Hustle Hustle Hustle especially after drinks or breaks..

-Save every ball.. dive for it.. dont let it touch the floor!

-Try your best as if you were playing in a game that depended on your life... in the end it will be all worth it.

  8. -be infront of the coach to show that you are proud of your self

-if you mess up dont be mad

-if someone deos a good job say good job to the person

  9. just play like you would normally play and have fun. take a deep breath before you play and play hard.

  10. Just have fun, and just pretend it's not a tryout just think of it as playing with your friends or just playing it for fun.
