  1. get asics vball shoes they are the best

    spandez i wear mizunos

    kneepads i have nike

active ankles if you need them

    long socks

    t-shirt

    sports bra

  2. okay never ever do that hand serve thing....there is absolutely no such thing as a wrist gaurd in volleyball.

u need shoes that are from nikes or any tennis shoe company of ur coice.they need to be light[in weight] and supporting ur feet...also KNEE PADS the ones i use r nikes... they have extra elastic at the top and bottom it protects those parts of the leg......and also the pads have to be soft and u need to be comfortable in them.... GOOD LUCK111111

  3. As for the equipment, I agree with most of them(spandex, althletic shoes, long socks, spandex, sports bra, and knee pads), but i have never seen anyone wear a mouth gaurd, especially considering the amount of communicating you are supposed to do with your teammates. As for your wrist hurting, you should not be contacting the ball with your wrist. You should be contacting with the palm of your hand. Also make sure your toss well in front of you, step into it and make sure you contact the ball in front of your head, not behind.

  4. spandex

    loose t-shirt

    knee pads

    vball socks

and shoes, a lot of people say the flat court shoes, but personally i find nike shox or nike airs are better because they help you when you jump, and you get more of a lift.

    and are you overhanding?

if you are, you should play around and time it , so it hits the bottom bone of your hand. praccctttiiicceee!

  5. Well, there is nothing you can do about your wrist or arms if they huet, they will get batter as you do. Otherwise, if you are a girl, wear spandex, you can get it at any sporting goods store near you. Also, wear a tee shirt and get some knee pads. Knee pads are the key to success if you like to walk in your everyday life. Also, get some court shoes. Those ar e very helpful, especially if you are going to play club.

  6. aasics shoes are the best b/c the have great support for your ankles....spandex shorts, knee socks(helps keep rug burn off your legs), KNEE PADS ARE ESSENTIAL....thats about it...ppl also recommend a mouth guard especially if you are a hitter or blocker

Sneakers with good traction or you can get the special volleyball shoes, but remember not to wear them outside of the gym or you will ruin the soles. Nike's are a great shoe, or aasics, or even addias'.

Knee pads are very useful for not skinning up your knees, Franklin, Nike, or what ever kind floats your boat. I personally would recommend the shaped kind and not the flat kind because the formed ones offer better cushion than the flatter kind and they both slide just as well.

If you are worried about your legs getting floor burn then go with some long socks. If your legs tend to get hot in them then they might not be comfortable for game nights. I personally don't wear them because they get itchy. Many people on my team do wear them though.

If you want some people get elbow pads if they dive and roll a lot but if you don't do this then they aren't really needed and could just be dead weight to you.

Spandex are another trusty piece of equipment because they are easy to move in. Sports bras, and loose shirts or cami's are also necessities to the sport.

You might also want to get sport hair ties that don't come out of your hair often and some head bands for bangs. If you have braces you might want a mouth guard, my state requires it.

As for your wrist... if it hurts when you aren't serving, try getting it checked out by the athletic trainer. If it is just hurting when you serve, work on your timing and hitting the ball at the right moment with the palm of your hand, catch the ball higher, or let it drop if you are tossing the ball too low (overhand). Since you say you are hitting with your wrist I suggest that you go with working on your timing and tossing the ball high enough for you to be able to hit it right. I don't think a wrist guard would help you much because it won't correct your timing or how you are hitting the ball and it might just hurt you more.
