  1. its good to be nervous it means that you care about it! but i know how you feel we just stared tryouts today and we got a new coach 2! and she does not know about any thing that happened last year! so i am scared 2!! but the backrow is not much diff then the frontrow so don't be scaed about that. just play the font like you would play the back! i hope that you and i both make the team!! good luck and just do YOUR best!

  2. Listen, if you made the team, that shows that you had something in you that wowed your coach. It doesnt matter if it was attitude or potential...your coach believes in you and knows you would make a great volleyball player. Why else would you have made the team? Don't put yourself down. If you specialize in backrow, that's awesome! Everyone has something they're good at. As for me, I'm a good setter and passer, so I'm looking forward to playing S/DS. If you want to live up to your coach's expectations, do everything you can to accomplish that goal. Whether it be practicing like 4 billion times a day or weight training twice a week, just go for it. Figure out ways so you can improve and help your team...don't sit around and mope all day long thinking that your bad because you're not. Learn how to play all positions; if you are that committed, you will do anything to improve and really WOW your coach.

  3. PRACTICE! You'll get better! You coud ask some of the stronger players on your team to come early/stay late after practices to help you! If you want to be better at front row practice spiking, blocking, passins. You should also work on serves just because coaches always love good servers! and IT'S OKAY TO BE NERVOUS! everyone is when trying a new thing! Good Luck!

  4. work hard and have confidence in yourself, that will take you all the way, and if you work really hard you will probably find yourself able to play every position

  5. Meditate, take yoga classes!! You'll see everything calm and easy, plus yoga will help you to be more flexible and fit. You get 2 benefits of 1!!!

  6. Talk to your coach about it. Ask her for help in playing the other postitions. Ask her for any tips she has to improve your playing. Don't feel so bad, everyone has their low points.

  7. First of all you need a serious attitude adjustment! Stop thinking that you're an awful player. You have to believe in yourself! Put your heart into it. If you aren't very good at playing at the net, tell the coach your situation. Ask the coach or other team members if you're confused about what to do. Believe in yourself and you can do it!
