Volleyball News: FIVB President visits the host cities of Women’s World Championship in Japan

The extravagant Women’s World Championship is underway in Japan, the competition started on October 29th and will go on till November 14th, 2010. The Federation International de Volleyball (FIVB) are the organisers of this campaign, which has created an
opportunity for Japan to catch world wide attention and earn revenue. Japan has put in a lot of effort in order to maintain a good reputation and FIVB selected 5 different cities of Japan to stage 2010 FIVB Women’s World Championship.
The city of blinding lights, Japan has facilitated the teams and fans efficiently. The arrangements are wonderful and so far 40 matches have been played in five cities of Japan. In this regard, FIVB ensured that Japan meets the international standards to
host the competition. The President of FIVB, Mr. Jizhong Wei has been paying visits to different host cities in Japan. The President called on Matsumoto’s Mayor, Mr. Akira Sugenoya on Monday.
The mayor welcomed the FIVB President with pleasure and spoke to the media. Sugenoya said, "We are very honoured with the visit of the President of the FIVB to the city of Matsumoto and I wish him the best as well as to all the members of his Volleyball
institution. I hope he can have a very pleasant stay here and during all your time in Japan."
Likewise, the FIVB President appreciated the work and congratulated Japan for setting up excellent arrangements. He said, "I am very glad to be here in Matsumoto and I really appreciate all the efforts made by their people and the local authorities to ensure
the success of the FIVB Women's World Championship in this friendly city. I want to congratulate you and all the members of the Local Organizing Committee for a well organized stage."
Mr. President is scheduled to visit other cities as well in order to assess the development of the competition and its organization. Matsumoto has accommodated Cuba, Kazakhstan, Croatia, Germany, United States and Thailand for the preliminary round of the
championship. The Local Organizing Committee of Matsumoto is supervised by Akira Muzakami who has performed his duties in a great way.
Likewise, the other officials of FIVB also visited Matsumoto. First Executive Vice President Mr. Crisobal Marte Hoffiz visited the city last week. The President awarded Matsumoto’s mayor with an FIVB gold medallion as a token of appreciation.
