As the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship is just round the corner, the volleyball club teams all over the world are getting their weapons ready for action on the court. The Club World Championship is scheduled to run from December 14-21 in Doha, Qatar.
In this connection, the Drean Bolivar Club of Argentina is also preparing for their first appearance at the Club World Championship.
The Drean Bolivar team is supervised by witty head coach, Javier Weber who has led the team to success many a time. He has been associated with Bolivar’s team since 2006. In the meanwhile, they organised a number of international competitions at home, which
provided a lot of chances for the Argentinean team to learn some new tricks. Javier had the clear ambition of making Drean Bolivar the world’s best club. The team outshone all at the 2008 and 2009 World Challenge editions.
In addition to this, Bolivar has earned a really good name in the running season. They captured victory at the World Challenge and South American Club Championship, and also got their hands on four Argentine league titles. The Bolivar squad has a great player
line-up. The team is equipped with experienced players, which will definitely provide them with a competitive edge in the Doha Club World Championship. Some of the players have joined the Bolivar club from Argentina’s National Volleyball Team. The skillful
libero Pablo Meana has returned to the team and players including Filardi, Jean Carlo Badalotti, Lucas Ocampo, and Sebastian Sole, the setter Luciano De Cecco and captain Arroyo will be playing in this edition of the World Championship.
Javier has urged the team to get ready for the appointment. He has defined the goals for his team. He said, "We need to achieve two goals before we fly to Doha – first, to improve our physical condition and then to play as many demanding games as possible.
This is a new group of players, and we need to assemble them fast and in the best possible way."
The captain of Drean Bolivar, Gabriel Arroyo is excited about the competition. He said, "No matter how much effort it takes, I want to win in Qatar.” He called his team a group of fighters. The captain is determined to achieve success in Doha, Qatar.
All the best!
